Re: JES2 migration (z/OS 1.4 to z/OS 1.7)

2006-08-24 Thread Francois Paré
I don't need to keep the old z/OS 1.4 system so I think that it is simplest/quickest to do the first IPL in production with the new z/OS 1.7 system with JES2 using the old z/OS 1.4 spool. No need to do the spool offload/reload because I don't have to change the size of the spool. Francois Pare

JES2 migration (z/OS 1.4 to z/OS 1.7)

2006-08-22 Thread Francois Paré
Hello, Soon, we're going to migrate from z/OS 1.4 to z/OS 1.7. At the very precise moment that we do the z/OS migration, we've always done a spool offload on the current system and a spool reload on the new system. I think that it is probably a task that we do from an old tradition. Since

Are JCTUSER0-JCTUSERF initialised by JES2?

2006-02-21 Thread Francois Paré
Hi, I need an information: does JES2 initialise the JCT user fields JCTUSER0 through JCTUSERF prior to the initial call to the JOB-card-scan exit (exit 2), whether for a batch job, an STC or a TSO logon, or are those 64 bytes left uninitialised by JES2 and must they therefore be initialised by

Where is the EDCCBG C proc

2005-12-02 Thread Francois Paré
Hello, We installed z/OS 1.4 with a Sytempac and it includes the C/C++ compiler. In the documentation, there is information about a EDCCBG procedure but I can't find it. Is there someone who knows where I could find this procedure? Thanks! Francois Pare
