Thanks to all. Frank Yaeger suggestion worked as always.

Any ideas? Code would be great, a concept or
process that DFSORT can perform is what I am looking for.

find the section will work is other releases of zOS (I am at 1.12)
Anybody know why there is more than one IGDVLD section in a SCDS? My
guess is one for each system (LPAR) and to use the same structure for
the ACDS.

Well the problem has been solved, thanks to all for their
thoughts. I removed the space and DCB attributes, except for the
DSNTYPE=LARGE from the dataclass and all is well.
Not quite sure why, but whatever works.

When you attempt to allocate via 3.2, is that where they go?

Is there a way to have MVS dynamically allocate a

Yes you all understood what I wanted to do. Really the members are
REXX being moved to a CLIST (SYSPROC) dataset to be shared with the
general users. For some reason this place doesn't have (or want) any
SYSEXEC datasets in the logon PROCs.
The FTOV is what I was missing.
Thanks to all
I want to take a numbered FB 80 dataset (member) and convert it to a
VB 255 format dataset, each line will really be 80 bytes long.
I know how to reformat the line numbers 73-80 to the start of each
line, and I can add the RDW (54 00 hex) before that, but what must I
do to get the VB part?
in ACS routines?
