Hi, I have several virtual tapes that have a SGVTS1 on DFRMM, this SG that don't exist on TS7700, now it exists SGGRID. How can I change those datasets on RMM to match SGGRID instead of SGVTS1 ?? Many thx, A.Cecilio. On Tue, Feb 7, 2012 at 5:07 AM, Hervey Martinez hervey.marti...@custserv.com

Hello, I think that you should change the entire volume, with the rmm command CHANGEVOLUME with STORAGEGROUP(x) parameter, since all the volume must be in the same location, I thing that if the volumes are system-managed this value is used from LOCATION, so I would try to change location

rmm records the SG and other SMS constructs assigned during allocation. All of the SMS constructs recorded in rmm would normally match those sent outboard to the library. The construct names would match an outboard policy and establish the policies used by the library. Each time the volume is

The storage group is assigned by your SMS storage routines and it will be the one used for Storage Group. The Storage Group cannot be altered, it has to be assigned. Your Storage Admin person should know where these are how to update them. Thanks, Hervey -Original Message- From:

You don't. Storage groups are assigned by the ACS routines if the dataset is assigned a storage class. Does it have meaning if the dataset is not disk resident? :: -Original Message- :: From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:IBM-MAIN@bama.ua.edu] On :: Behalf Of af dc :: Sent:
