Ok, you can see my message, but you can't see your message?
From where do you see my message? In your e-mail or on IBM-MAIN web page?
I wonder if you can take it up with your ISP? (AFAIK, there was a discussion

You are doing a copydump. So this means, you are trying to make additional
copies of a DFDSS dump tape. Is that correct?
If not, what is the intent of coping the DUMP TAPE to DASD?
With the COPYDUMP command, you can make from 1 to 255 copies of
DFSMSdss-produced dump data. The data
I am able to do a tape to tape copy without any issues. However tape to disk
doesn't work because the default of tape blksize is 262144 and the maximum
blksize that is supported for DASD is 32760. I guess nothing can be done.

It was pointed out to me that I may have given #3 too short shrift. We do not
control destination addresses, but I suppose that a shop may have such a
requirement. Again: if not for Outlook, then why for SMTP?
If one is to use a program to generate the SMTP text, then it would be a simple
I do not think TRTCH (as it is a DCB parm) is managed by SMS.
I think what you need to look at is COMPACTION and not TRTCH. If you are going
to redirect the file to true "tape" then TRTCH might be valid.
Note: TRTCH is not applicable for DASD data sets. If specified, it will be
ignored.

Great! 'fraid there's gonna be lots more swoops in the next few months as
the ISPs merge.

We have a job which creates "tape" files in TMM (Tape Mount Management) via SMS
redirection. The data class assigned to the output dataset has SMS tailored
compression turned on. I would like to see how much that compression is
costing in CPU time by running the job without compression.
