Watching the original problem, maybe a CSUSPEND command will no be enough
to bypass this issue, you can try it and, if it doesn't work, do a CDELPAIR
command

do a CQUERY DEVN() where nnn is the devnum you want to suspend and you
will find all the info matching with the CSUSPEND command syntax. If you

DMX11 is the serial number of the disk cabinet. Which adapters are you

Hi,
I use the option "G" and make the changes needed in the report. When i

Hi,
in ISMF you have the option:
"G- Report Generation"
There you can develop a bunch of JCLs generators of rmm and HSM reports. I
find it very useful, because I don't need to know the structure of the
DCOLLECT output to use it

In the manual "z/OS V1R13.0 DFSMSdss Storage Administration" you can see
(Explanation of COPY Command Keywords, page 340)
"FULL specifies that an entire DASD volume is to be copied. This is the
default.
Unallocated tracks are not copied."
I think this answer your question
Hi,
what I do to avoid this is creating 2 JCLs . First JCL create the HSM list,
and the second JCL make whatever you need to do with the list.

Hi,
How are you creating the extract file?
You must use the DD XREPTEXT and the command:
RPTEXT RECORDS(X,...)
(X at least to get the extended extract records)

I think there are not special considerations with model 27 or model 54.
Those dasd are just 3390-9 devices with a bigger size.

You can use ISMF in panel Volume Selection Entry (option 2.1)
there is a field :Type of volume List (1-Online,2-Not Online,3-Either)
You can fill this field with a 2 and write the volser in Volume Serial
Number field.
Have you tried it?

We currently use flashcopy for backups, control cards below. Processing is
instantaneous. It establishes the FC relationship
I think these are partial good news, as IBM said:
You can continue to access older releases of messages at the website
AS-IS.
So, I guess Look At can still be used for versions until 1.13.

I think the tweak is this:
You have to go to Settings, then in the action bar choices put the cursor
on the Identifier field and supposing PROD is your system name, select
4 System Name and de-select the field Display System name.
Please let me know if this helps,
