Problem resolved.
I needed to tweak my IKJCNXAC exit to turn off bits that are on by default.
Once I did an "NI" on that flag byte, the REXX Exec could process the CONSLE
command while in a Sysplex.
I guess those bits don't matter in a non-sysplex environment.
Thanks for the help

in a real world Sysplex and have 'been there and done that', will be

Yeah, I thought of that also, but still had to contend with the ENQ / LNKLST
issue.

That is what I ultimately did, once I was passed the enq / lnklst issue.

Yes, the SungardAS z/OS Floor System has OMVS running zFS file systems.
Call or email me using the information in my signature tag.

The program IFASMFDP was getting the S/002-04 ABEND reading a dumped SMF data
PS dataset on disk (not the MANx datasets).
Ran VBSFIX against this dataset creating a "fixed" dataset.
Ran SCRT against the fixed dataset and all is well with the world.

My RSU1709 RFN job took about 5.5 hours.
Submitted the job to run overnight.
I'm not in a production environment, so I may not have the same requirements.

Another question.
Any idea how much DASD space to allocate for the SMPNTS and/or SMPWKDIR ZFS
files?
I seem to keep running out.

Is there some tool or technique for determining by date which SMF record
(type 70 or 89) is missing, so you can exclude just that portion and not

Any help will be appreciated.

is running z/OS 2.1
and we’re not.
I figured it couldn’t hurt to post the issue to the RACF and z/OS LISTSERVs.
If anyone has an idea on what is causing this, please respond.
