My neighbor had Direct/TV and I had a famous cable vendor we were down during
Sandy.
My landlines were ok , a big surprise. I lived in Tornado Alley most of my life
as a kid, moving east in 1976. This hurricane was the worst I have seen. But it
could have been much worst.

So do the DSLMs in our area (central Florida).

Something like five six years ago when when the U.S.'s North East
lost power for three days I was still able to turn in homework via my
laptop, a UPS system, modem, and the good ole landline. Doing homework
and reading assignments by candlelight! Sounds like a good story to
tell the
