the past 4 years. Whilst I know, that
IBM mainframes use ECKD formatted tracks.
Since the manufacture of actual 3390s ended, DASD storage has been
emulated on FBA (PC / Unix disk), usually in a RAID 5 configuration.
Occasionally, you might run across a 3380 volume as these are also
supported.
