The G. Fogg portion of this REXX routine is a conversion from PL/I to REXX, perhaps at several removes, of one of a set of generic PL/I procedures---All of therm 1) initialize a pointer to a pointer with x'0010' and 2) chase pointer chains anchored in the CVT---that were written by my quondam
