would be available to be varied online if needed, but this way it would default
to being offline when you come up.

Renaming the Dataset on the volume is the only way from IPL Or restart of JES2
to prevent the access

Yes, at a former location we used TDMF to move all volumes, spool volumes
included with the exception of one CKPT volume (CKPT1 was in the CF), and I
believe the LOGR couple data sets could not be copied/moved using TDMF IIRC.
