Dedicated LPAR team has access to the HMC for IPL only
There seems to be bit settings in the RBCPCDB that indicated if the capacity
data is shareable or not
Any directions for taking control of this situation

DB2 V8 and z/OS 2.2 is a hopeful combination.
Disregard the vendor support experts
And look at it this way
DB2 V10 allowed for skip migration from V8
V10 CM mode is 100% compatable with V8
V10 is supported today and run with z/OS 2.2
So
Thank you for being a long term DB2 customer.
If you are
words like LPAR and DB2 the issues are not the same.

I am supporting a shop with active IBM an active software service contract but
no Software Excel / IBM link.
In such an environment how does a USA customer order preventive service and
enhanced hold data.

Thank you

.
The issue here is IBM did not follow its own book mark advice which is designed
to avoid problems like this.
A failure of highly trained TECH writters and proofers.

They tend not to run them with high volume complex workloads and also do not

For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access
was an option as well as default
security.
As an historical asside many early IMS shops did not use default security
because it was too restrictive.
An IMS upgrade beyond V9 is difficult to the extent that SMU is used.
