Re: Tritus SPF again
Look for vDOS. It is based on DOSBOX and I think a better 16bit emulator, especially for something like this. https://www.vdos.info/ Alan Field Systems Engineer Principal Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN 651.662.3546 -Original Message- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:IBM-MAIN@LISTSERV.UA.EDU] On Behalf Of Richard Pinion Sent: Thursday, February 25, 2016 4:12 PM To: IBM-MAIN@LISTSERV.UA.EDU Subject: Tritus SPF again I received my USB 3.5 inch diskette drive today. I copied the contents of the diskette to my SSD, and tried to execute TSPF.EXE. It didn't work because it is a 16 bit application. Googled a little, and found DOSBOX. Downloaded and installed DOSBOX. Executed DOSBOX, and I am able to execute TSPF! I'm out $19 just for the sake of being able to do this. Still have those 5.25 diskettes. I'm not sure if they contain the same thing, lower level, or higher level of TSPF. I got a few offers from people to copy the 5.25 diskettes, but I didn't keep those emails. If you're one of them, please contact me offlist, rpinion at netscape dot com, if the offer is still open. Thanks in advance. _ Netscape. Re: Tritus SPF again
Nice! I ordered a 3.5 drive too and went through my pile of old disks looking for anything I should try to copy once it arrives. Thanks for the DOSBOX hint, maybe I can install my old Lemmings game disk and pick up where I left off in 1993. And I have a 1991 CTC SPF/2 3.5" disk which should be interesting. Don't know if that's related to TSPF. Richard Pinion wrote: I received my USB 3.5 inch diskette drive today. I copied the contents of the diskette to my SSD, and tried to execute TSPF.EXE.
