IIC Dallas z/OS guest system 'sleep'
Hello, On Dallas IIC from my z/VM control userid I issued and got: send etpgabc \cp sleep Ready; T=0.01/0.01 16:33:32 qsleep etpgabc Ready; T=0.01/0.01 16:33:51 What tells me if the guest z/OS system is actually asleep or have I done something wrong? cheers Graham Hobbs -- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@listserv.ua.edu with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN

Back in the day, I used to check this by attempting to dial to a local 3270 device on the virtual machine. If it was asleep, my dial session would be unresponsive. -- Edward E Jaffe Phoenix Software International, Inc 831 Parkview Drive North El Segundo, CA 90245 http://www.phoenixsoftware.com/ -- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@listserv.ua.edu with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN

QSLEEP should tell you if your guest is in sleep mode or not. If you want to double check it Ed's technique should tell you.
