AFAIK, XRC incremental resynch is a GDPS-only feature. I've never seen non
GDPS/XRC users using it.

PPRC has a bit map for updated tracks. If a mirroring set becomes
suspended, you can resume the mirroring and just the updated tracks
are sent.

Actually, once Site A was down and Site B was Production, you should have
established mirroring from Site B to Site

When we perform a region switch we reverse XRC replication before bringing up
the production systems.
Essentially as follows (some sequences shortened/omitted!)
Shut down Region A production systems
Shut down SDM in Region B
Start SDM system
After running production in a recovery site for some time, if you want to
return operations back to the original application region, does XRC do a full
volume resync or an incremental resync?
I’ve read that XRC can do an incremental resync when returning home if you are
configured with region

If you are truly 'running production in a recovery site', then you cannot
just 'return operations back to the original application region'. I hate
to sound pedantic, but running production anywhere other

With PPRC, you would break the pairs and re-establish in the opposite direction.
When are all replicated

Ed brings up an interesting question. So
Actually, once Site A was down and Site B was Production, you should
have established mirroring from Site B to Site A in case a problem
happened at Site B and you needed to resume at Site A with the data
from Site B.
