Your Service Now team should be able to process an email and open incidents. We do that now. We format an email using our automation tools and send it to a identified mailbox, where the Service Now team picks it up and opens the incident. As for CA7 opening incidents directly, I do not know.

We are currently using Automation to do this using MQ to relay the event, and IIB to translate and create via web service. However, I have a long term goal to talk more directly using a combination of these if possible:
