Media Access Control list

2001-02-13 Thread Rakers, Jason
Does anyone have a link for a listing of assigned vendor MAC addresses? Someone said the IEEE has a list, but I was unable to find it on their website.

RFC 2764 and VPRN

2000-12-21 Thread Rakers, Jason
Is anyone aware of current implementations of Virtual Private Routed Networks in use by carriers as described in the VPN RFC 2764? Or if anyone can point me in the direction to find more information on VPRN implementation advantages and disadvantages besides that described in the RFC. Thanks,

When household appliances begin becoming IP addressable, I think we will see a move towards assigning an Internet IP address per household (much like today's street address). The household will perform NAT for all devices within (one street address can house many people, not just one).

Better question: How many households are there in the world on the Internet? -Original Message- From: Parkinson, Jonathan [SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, August 03, 2000 10:23 AM To: 'Rakers, Jason'; 'Dennis Glatting'; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Addresses

Hello. I am new to this list. I thought this list was going to be about Internet technology, not people/organization bashing.
