iXAFS originally started out as a wrapper to launch the individual programs. At
that time, it was a simple matter to replace any of the individual programs.
Ken McIvor has improved iXAFS so that it now builds universal projects but has
perl code embedded. This makes it more difficult to update.
I believe that Bruce is correct in that an updater incorporated into a build
script
would be the proper way to update the iXAFS code.
The cocoa code for iXAFS is very simple and rarely needs updating.

Hi George,
You need to have a fortran compiler installed on your Mac. You can find
information on Mac OS X fortran compilers here:
http://hpc.sourceforge.net/
Once you have the compilers installed, you compile the feff702.f file. You can
run it from the command line using any feff.inp file.
Following Matt's example, you would go to the directory where you build the
program. You need to have a valid feff.inp file inside that directory.
At the prompt (%), could be different depending on what shell you are running,
type:
./feff702
It should run.
