seems the only way to fix it is to clean or replace the pads. You're more
likely to find a four-leafed clover than a tech who will repair it for you.

Charles, I have never heard of Cartridge World. I'll have to check and see if there is one in Portland.I don't know about chips. The ink cartridges were replaced last month, so most are new. Epson says the ink pads need to be replaced. The repair shop I called says my printer is hard to service bec
