What is the verdict with the latest release of Imail Server 2006.3?
Previously, Web Mail was way too slow and there were many other issues.
Is it now safe for an ISP to deploy it or are there several
outstanding issues which will cause us customer service grief?
Thanks,
Don Brown -
I installed it after being on 8.15 about 2 weeks ago had no issues on the
install, I am now migrating all my OE users to Webmail.

If you have any Mac users I would not do it yet. We are also an ISP and can
not upgrade until the webmail works for Mac users.

Just set up user forwards for those accounts. This is well-covered in
the manual. You will not be able to use a domain-wide forward -- nor
should you expect to be, since it's you who are limiting the

We have something setup similar to what I
believe youre asking for.
On our Imail server our email is setup,

work either way) we have our email setup.
To forward mail to the exchange box, we

I honestly do not remember. I know it is not in .4 or .5 as I am part of
the expert user group and it has not been addressed yet in those. It does
work on one browser on Mac OS X, not sure which one and not sure on version
9 or not. Have not tested on 9.
Kevin, can you give us any insight on
Nightmare for me. We ran on 2003.6 for about a month but it never got
better.
Webmail was 75% unresponsive.
Time outs, very slow, unreliable.
Couldn't load iadmin most of the time to administer the system.
We downgraded back to 8.22
I hope they work out the issues.

you do need a fairly new server to run 2006 especially
if you've already got a busy 8.0x server. web messaging speed was
vastly improved with 2006.03 though.

Hi,
We are attempting to upgrade to IMail 2006 - 3, but when we log into the web

Hi All,
Yes, we currently support Firefox on the Mac and are in the process of
working on Safari as well (this is a top request that we have to

IE for the Mac is no longer supported, and in fact Microsoft recommends
AGAINST using it. It has been (or soon will be if it hasn't) removed
from the Apple Download section. Expecting Ipswitch to support it is a
longshot. IMO if it works for Safari, that should be sufficient. It
already works
