Yes. I hit this. I logged a bug on it (13241), but the root cause is:
13233 /contrib packages should not depend on entire

It's listed in the email announcing build 129, along with a workaround.

Yes:
$systemdump
should do the trick.
Make sure your dumpadm is set up beforehand to enable savecore, and that
you have a dump device. In my case the output looks like this:
$ pfexec dumpadm
Dump content: kernel pages
Dump device: /dev/zvol/dsk/rpool/dump (dedicated)

I can't say what the screech is (does audio work correctly once logged

SoundOnLogin=false
to the [greeter] section of /etc/X11/gdm/custom.conf (or create a
[greeter] section with the above line if you don't already have one).

That bug (or rather the bug it was closed as a duplicate of) is
technically S10-only because nevada (and hence opensolaris) plumbs in an
IPv6 interface by default.
Do you have the ::1 interface plumbed in and up? Something like this:

You may be right - this doesn't necessarily sound OSol-specific
(although it may have played a part in creating the environment for the

On a plain snv system, I see this:

I was following this thread and finally got round to checking my laptop
(Tosh Tecra M10). Sure enough, it runs constantly at 2261MHz according
to powertop. Pressing p as indicated seems to have made no difference.
So I dug out the mail below and compared my power.conf to what is below.
