theoretically, it would be mimosa hamata, if its from the thar desert area in kuchchh its called zinziniyu ( in gujarat called arati and Kasi, Kai baval in Saurashtra) that implies it grows in desert and other soils. i guess it perhaps refers to folklore that the seeds may perhaps rattle inside
