Would anyone living in Allahabad be able to help me? I would be most happy to

Greetings all!
Sorry, this is off-topic but I have just recorded a movie from the TV called
'The Rising: Ballad of Mangal Panday' on the subject of the First War of
Independence in 1857, and I wondered how accurate it was. Has anyone seen it?
Can you tell me if it is historically accurate?
Looks like broom, in the genus Cytisus, probably an introduction from Europe.

Of course, what was I thinking? I do not have any pics of green ants, but my
wife does. She has pictures of many of tropical Australia's flora and fauna, as
found in our garden (mostly). Green ants are included. Just go to

Interesting! This is obviously the red weaver ant. In tropical Australia we
have the green weaver ant, Oecophylla smaragdina. They make a tasty snack on a
hot day, refreshingly lime-like.
Not my picture, I regret to say, but I hope people won't mind - in the
interests of education.

Happens in tulips too (from Encyclopaedia Brittanica)...
Generally, solid-coloured tulips are spoken of as “self-coloured,” while
streaked blossoms are called “broken.” The phenomenon of colour streaks in
tulips is due to a harmless virus infection that causes the self colour to

Streaks or patches like this in flower colour are often caused by a virus. I
used to grow carnations for sale and if my stocks got infected with a virus,
the orange or yellow blooms would have streaks of red. Apparently this comes
from a red ancestor and the virus activates dormant genes.
