[efloraofindia:311351] Guduchi small projections

2018-11-26 Thread Sharmila Punde
Dear All,
I had Tinospora Cordifolia at my home for 5 years. But it never grown
any projections as shown in the picture of following link

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tinospora-cordifolia-Herb-Plants-Cuttings-Heart-leaved-moonseed-Guduchi-Giloy-/132273707523

Such kind of projections were shown by one Ayurveda practicing person to me
as well.
When we buy Guduchi stems from market, such projections are available on it
many times.

Are there two different species of Tinospora which are with projection and
without projection? Or due some climatic conditions projections are not
grown on my plant?

Thanks
Sharmila

eriocarpa. But there is lot of confusion in this genus and I am still not

2018-11-26 Thread Dinesh Valke
Yes, Garg ji, it does look different from flowers / fruits of *Pergularia
daemia* ... but I am not able to guess.
I am not sure whether it has something to do with premature dying of the
plant - whether the dried structures are buds / flowers. I am not confident.
At other spots in the park, the climbers on Cryptostegia grandiflora was
only Pergularia daemia - I must be mistaking.
Regards.

¿ *Enneapogon persicus* ?
Dear friends,
I am aware that ID of grass cannot be attempted with photos alone; yet I am
posting few photos with the hope that it can be identified at least to
genus level, based on distribution and general appearance. The posted grass
was growing in some patches of the park.
