This is not Euphorbiaceae though there are resemblances in stem. This is
Kleinia grandiflora of Asteraceae, flowers clearly show a receptacle and

I am just back from a beleaguered trip to west Sikkim. Rain, white out and
earthquake were not the only deterents. I was sent back to fetch a researcher's

This is beyond doubt Emblica officinalis (syn Phyllanthus emblica).

G. tiliifolia is a larger tree with smaller leaves compared to G.
asiatica. Your second set of pictures show G. asiatica twig because
the stipules are linear-lanceolate, they are not leafy and auricled.

I call these P. quadrifida flowers as 'siesta flowers', because they
open at noon and close by 2 pm. You did not miss this typical
