In that case, why not take a look at the internal filtering
capabilities of Sendmail (milter?).

Is there anyone out there using procmail with cyrus imapd 2.x? I have
not been able to use procmail since I moved to the 2.x family because
procmail does not do lmtp delivery and I could not get cyrus' deliver to
work. Right now I am running cyrus imapd 2.0.16 and am curious if the

compile SASL against the libs in
/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.3.2/lib instead of /lib ?
There is a configure option (--with-dbdir=DIR) for Cyrus-imapd but none
for cyrus-sasl

Well, here are a couple of things to try, even though they did not solve my
problem:
1) Make sure SASL and IMAP are linked against the same db libs.
2) Perhaps there is a problem with your folder structure? Try
re-constructing mailboxes.

I just got Cyrus-imapd version 2.0.14 and Cyrus-sasl version 1.5.24 compiled
and installed on a RH 7.0 box. Everything was running ok until we had the
flooding in Houston. Now that I have connectivity back, I notice there is a
bunch of mail in /var/spool/mqueue. Sendmail tries to deliver it to

I have not been able to use deliver since I upgraded from 1.5 to 2.x. and

I am running cyrus 2-0.7-2 on a RedHat 7.0 box. I noticed the following
messages show up in my log files every so often:
"lmtpd[7430]: DBERROR dup: /var/imap/deliverdb/deliver-m.db: hash version

I take this to mean that the database needs to be upgraded. Is this
I would hate to have PAM support abandoned also. I have using Novell's
corporate directory for Linux (pam_nds) very successfully with Cyrus to let
our users have one password for LAN and e-mail access.

I have RedHat Linux 6.2 system running sendmail, procmail, and cyrus IMAPD
1.6.X without a problem.
The mail flow is as follows:
sendmail->procmail->cyrus IMAPD's deliver.
Everything works fine on this system.
I have setup a test RedHat 7.0 Linux system running Cyrus IMAPD 2.0.7-3.
