This morning was somewhat improved from yesterday, but still poor, by
any standards. Both early and at dawn, the band was fairly well
populated with fairly strong hets, about half of which were putting
in the very weakest possible threshold audio. Only 11 stations rose
to very marginal
Listened from 1250-1350 UT and it was very poor with no audio and cariers on
747 and 774.

The propagation monitor said the upper band was dead at sunrise, and
the lower band peaked before 1430UT. Certainly, my own monitoring
after 1440UT was mostly unproductive except for the NHK stations on
774 and 828 fading up very nicely shortly after 1510UT.

the N/NE. That is the only way I DX TA's now. I rarely could hear them
any other way.
I caught a man in Russian and pop mx several times. Was as good as
Croatia 1134 a week ago. Virgin Radio never heard this good.
Only audio here in IL on 1215 is occ. rock from Virgin at threshold levels
on a rather poor TA night. 1206 France barely in on peaks. 1557 nada. 1017

I have heard Virgin many times, but never an ID, usually just the pop music or
a English accented announcer. Have 2 hours recorded, will pick out the best
sounding portion and put it on a CD.

no doubt on what I had.

I find this whole exercise to be fascinating. I was on 1215 the whole
time and heard mostly Virgin Radio with at least one of the Spaniards.
We may have have had Russia but never strong enough to ID.
