Listened frpm 0930-1015 UTC this morning, and found strange
conditions. Around the Asians' local sunset peak, stations like JOAK-590,
JOUB-774,
HLCA-972 and HLAZ-1566 were really strong, with HLCA-972 almost sounding like

Real Player has an obnoxious foot-print on PCs in the Windows environment...
Like Norton Anti-virus, once it's on your computer it is difficult to remove

DX recordings (mostly to do equalization, etc prior to buring CDs for
reception reports).
I agree, it's a wonderful program and the price is hard to beat.

what a QSL is, unless you have redefined it. I in no way suggested that you
insist upon the testing-station that you educate them, but

I'm getting back to DXing a little and Im happy enough to just log

With MW QSL's getting as rare as hen's teeth, I don't complain. So many
stations today have quit responding period. Sure, we would love to have
perfect full-detail QSL card. Hey, if I get a note back stating. That
was us or You heard us or Thanks fo listening, I'll take it. My
saying
Bruce, I used to have a lot of .rm files but I converted them all to mp3
using a program called Joyce Audio Convertor. It works great, you just
have to be careful about getting the wav bits and the sample rates to
match, otherwise you get artifacts.
Now, all of my files are in the mp3 format.

HD is a buzz word in today's world. Some engineers I know claim is
sounds no better than streaming audio off the internet. IBOC has a lot
of issues. Besides the noise on channel in analog, it has problems in

Amen to that. I believe I've logged the ID ESPN Radio six times in a three
minute break. Hey, there's something we DXers can do while waiting for an
official station ID, hold the record for how many ESPN ID's one can hear in the
shortest period of time. The winner gets to use the rest room.
