Thanks Barry and Jim. Luckilly I got this guy at LSS two years ago.
Jim, 1530 (and 700) are the DX wastelands, for me. Just Cincinatti so
far, for both.

previously.

When I was getting that DX out west over a week ago, in the overnight hours, I
had a station on 1510 with what sounded like oldies or RnB. I've posted a clip
online at:

Who would play this kind of music at night on 1510?
It sounds like oldies to

WDDZ-550 is on low power (~250w) and already on night pattern with the IBOC
off. The flood of the Blackstone River has brought the reflected power up
to the point where this was needed to keep it on the air. It's entirely
possible the station will go off the air if the river rises to a much more
Another interesting morning, though I suspect signals may have peaked before
1330UT in between my listening at 1300 and after 1335UT. Again, erratic signals,
not too much consistent strength, better upper band signals closer to 1400UT,
and time pips on 1476 that I haven't had time to sort out yet.
Craig,
Thanks for letting us know. STAY SAFE!!

Dennis,
A very interesting item to me, at least.
(1) I have a QSL Card from KVAN for 9/50 reception. A lot prettier
than the card shown here. Think I could get $3.00 for it :-) ?
(2) I knew Fred Van Voorhees. He was International Editor for the

Don,
Happy you enjoyed the posting. Wow, I was 5 months old when
got you KVAN QSL card in 1950. I remember reading about the
members of NRC who were killed in a automobile crash on the
way to the convention.

NRC-bound convention goers.

Hello All,
The Asian TP signals seemed fairly healthy this morning, at least in
relation to previous days. Most of the usual high-band Asians were vibrant, and
a few weak surprises showed up.
While DXing from 1330-1350 in a wet back yard, the 7.5' loop had strong
carriers on both 1475
Thanks John, sometimes I get mixed up. Glad to hear he wasn't in the

Hi Todd,
Thanks for reading our daily TP reports, and I'm glad that you find them
interesting. Almost every TP reporter has a different radio and antenna
setup, which makes them fascinating to compare, locally.
Some of the reporters (like me) only show up when the TP conditions are
