I have received this several times this year on several different frequencies
with sparse DXing, has it been proven to come from Cuba?

Like Dennis mentioned, the TP's this morning were not nearly as bad as the
solar indexes (A14, K4) would suggest. Most of the usual high band Asians
made an appearance with audio, although nothing very exotic showed up.
Signals in general were about the same as yesterday-- or

A Japanese DX friend of mine has heard at 0700 UTC a station on 1600 kHz in
Spanish and asked for help. I've listened to his short recording and can hear
??? Radio continua ahora. It doesn't sound like ESPN but it's really too
weak to be sure.

Yes, KTUB-1600 Centerville UT is Spanish. The dominant station
on 1600 here in Calgary AB
