I'm sure Kaz himself will weigh in here, Les, but the original version of the Kaz that I recall was 10' high with a 40' vertical section. John Bryant wrote it up, and found that it didn't have quite enough signal output for his tastes, but that was in the days before the FLG100 amplifier

I know with the EWE antennas, the higher the vertical element the better. My old SW EWE has 25' elements and it has always worked great. The NE EWE has 16 foot elements and does not have near the gain, but that is all I can do to the NE. 73, Patrick Patrick Martin Seaside OR KGED QSL
