A third attempt at my once-again blocked mailings to IRCA (starting to get
incredibly tired of this); please note I've modified the link in an attempt to
remedy this annoyance.
I'd like to share this file, which was adapted from my original Facebook post
about six different ways Chinese
Quite a few TA carriers heard this evening in Victoria, but quite odd
ones: 603, 864, 954 1116, 1413 for examples. Although the "usual"
1215 was noted, it didn't develop into anything; 1386 was the star of
the show with a good enough carrier at times to show audio
traces. The carrier was
Schedule didn't allow much listening today, but a quick check at
1400 showed audio on only 1566 Korea, and Japan on 693, 747, and 774, so
doubt if I missed a lot.

Nothing much in post sunrise enhancements this morning, and except
for a number of carriers, this was mostly a "big gun" session.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):

Hi Guys:
Here is my report for the last week. One NEW Station heard, a few Live DX

During my Caribbean cruise (which I am writing up at a leisurely pace because
of my scribbling), ZNS was not exactly overwhelming once you got out of the
Bahamas. In addition, it throws out a lot of garbage at various places between
1500-1570kHz. Of particular note, it is responsible for a 1kHz

This should be a piece of cake at this time
A little better today with two signals with audio around sunrise (1425
utc). 774 Japan with EE lessons faded up twice where I could almost make
out the words of the woman reading the English part, 1420 and 1433. 1566
S Korea HLAZ with brief music and female talk 1429. Lots of hets around
KLXR actually had a GOOD, local morning show.. LOCAL news, local

And that format's audience is dwindling as the population ages.
A stand alone AM pretty much has to concentrate on local news and events, and
be in a market which is neither large nor over-crowded to do that.

I should addnot entirely a failure of the FCC that a market is over
radioed.. sure they allot the frequencies, but too many broadcasters
believe just because you CAN shove a frequency in, you SHOULD do it. Just
because there's spectrum space doesnt mean you should actually light it
up. KLXR
