Hi Patrick:
I still have not had any luck finding an analog atomic clock (with
hands) that can be set to UTC,
Sorry I didn't get a chance to reply earlier but depending on your requirements
you might solve the problem the way I did. I too spent a lot of time looking
for one and didn't find

covered this. At

Walt,
I have thought about getting an old 12 hr electric clock from a garage
sale and doing the 13-24 hour inner ring. I still like the electric
clock 50/60 cycles as they keep nearly perfect time and are trouble free
for many years. Also inexpensive. That may be my best option. Close to

Seems crazy that they don't offer an option to offset the time. Short
sighted, I'd say! Walt.
It is funny, but I ran into an Ham that has been active for 60-70 years.
He doesn't have an Atomic clock that will work on UTC either. The old
wall clock is probably my best option. I wish I could
Pat:
Have you checked for atomic clocks out of the UK? If they're available they
would work because UTC is the same as the UK's winter time. A friend of mine
over there has an atomic watch that works on both the Rugby and Colorado
signals, so maybe clocks are available too.

Mike,
Thanks! I was wondering if a UK made clock would work on WWVB. That is a
thought. I also found Franklin Clock Co to still be in business, so I e
mailled them about either a new clock or a new motor for my old one, if
available. So I have several options. Besides that, I found another

Thanks Mike I see it can be set for UTC!! And Atomic! I will call MFJ
tomorrow. $30 is better than $80.

Popping up Google and saying what time is it in London is a lot cheaper,
faster, and your computer can be your best friend when DXing. At least
someone stills make a hardware version.

Now THAT is funny.
I needed a laugh today. Honest. If you had any idea!
Going to the radio now... honest.

I am trying to find a 24 hour atonic analog wall clock to replace my old
120v 24 wall clock. It is 30 years old and the motor has died. I can
find digital 24 hour clocks that can be set on UTC, but no Atomic wall
clocks. MFJ makes several wall clocks, Atomic, but cannot be set on UTC.

Lemme work on that.
At UVic we have atomic clocks in all the new classrooms
that are tuned to WWVB -- and they are beautiful BIG
Analogs that are visible from about 200+ feet away.

Yup. In Canuskistan, it is today...
Why? Because we are more northerly... and harvest

The brand is Franklin. It has been a good clock, but it has been getting
noisy the last year or so and it stopped last week. I tried to oil it,
and it ran for maybe 20 minutes and stopped again.

Thanks Colin. Another option would be to buy a 24 hour atomic clock and
reset the hands to UTC. I would probably void the warranty, but that
would also work, or find an old 12 hour electric clock and set the time
for UTC. It seems the battery clocks that are not atomic do not seem to
keep good
Colin,
I have a atomic digital clock sitting on the R8, but I want one that
will work for UTC that is analog, if I can find one.
