My problem to the NE are the foothills of the Coast Range. If I was 5
miles further away I would not get quite the blockage
Going down the coast as you probably have noted, the steep mountains are
right there to the East of Highway 101 and they really block the East.

carriers. There seem to be fewer possibilities for the Caribbean
(beyond Cuba) in recent years

The beverage is what brings the Eastern DX in. Without it, I would not
hear half of what I do from the East. I do not live in a great location
for Eastern DX with the foothills of the Coast Range not that far away.

I heard it last night pretty well for a while, but later at 0504 EST,
CHHA Toronto took over the frequency with "O Canada", followed by SS
programming, then by 0530 it was Caribbean Beacon again.

Hello All,
Unusually good propagation to the Caribbean early this morning (at 0752 UTC)
brought in 1610-Anguilla for its best-ever signal here in western Washington
state, completely shutting out multiple TIS stations on the frequency. The late
Dr. Gene Scott's sermon boomed in // 6090 kHz,
