I can actually "un-null" the TA!
That is to say... my W/NW Flag is NULLING the TA's.
The irony is not lost on anyone here!

Threshold audio on 1215 and whisps of carriers exactly where Nick describes.
All pretty darn weak on my W/NW flag -- maybe "detuning" the FLAGS
directivity may help.

Ditto for Victoria, Mark. I often wondered why 1521 wouldn't propagate out
here. In Masset, where 1520 is less of an issue, I still have never heard
Saudi on this channel. In the great days of solar minimums, 1575 Farda was
here nightly for weeks on end. Actually local late afternoon, followed

You guys seldom mention Saudi 1521, the ten ton gorilla here on the East Coast,
audible 2+ hours pre-sunset at coastal sites, at least a half hour ahead of
everybody else.

Here in Alberta at least, it's generally just not there. I did hear it
several times back in the great TA years around 2007-2009, but not
since. Even back then, conditions had to be exceptional, whereas 1575
Farda was pretty much an every night thing.

Don, your comments on the DKAZ vs Beverage is very interesting! I, too,
was impressed with the DKAZ in Masset, although there was precious little
TA activity during my week there. It was, however, deaf on LW. I had
originally oriented it to favour slight East of North, but within 2 days,
A lot livelier out here in Alberta. Carriers, many of them quite decent
everywhere from top to bottom. Only 189 Iceland with audio tho. the 2100
Eu wire best on 189, but outdone badly on the low part of the band by the
NE pointed DKaz with the difference becoming minimal in the upper portion

Nick, I see all of them. Nice het on 1089. 882 is pretty decent. The
others are pretty faint! 73,...Walt

At 0240UT, there are quite a number of the usual suspect TA carriers
showing their noses on Vancouver Island.
1089 and 864 have been best so far, reasonable, but no chance of audio.

Numerous MW TA carriers evident visually, mostly below mid-band. 882 strongest.

I think that 1089 bears watching. Several in the northeast are reporting
VestiFM from Russia. And I noted it for the first time last night in
western NY. Other TAs were unremarkable, just 756, 747, 909 and 1215 were
audible, but Vesti FM was rising up and down behind Talk Sport. The sound
