Folks, I'm in AZ specifically camel back resort on business. Im using the
aor400 loop and elad sdr. Im picking up a strong carrier on 1232.2Khz, its
right next to 1230 KOY in Phx. I can here very faint music. I wasnt able to
find any foreign stations on this frequency? Is this just a birdie?
I am hearing a few things on SW that are coming in better then usual or
that i havent heard in weeks.. Greece on 9420khz, and RRI in english to the
ear east on 9790khz

Ignore this. The UPS failed today at the office and all computers went
down. The 10 year old server finally failed, so the replacement was put on
line. Backup was from 4:30am this morning, but somehow an older email was

The WWV report is missing some data. The router in the office was brand new
to replace one that quit. This one works for a day, then blocks some
outbound connections. I ordered a Sonicwall TZ-190 tp replace it and it
should arrive tomorrow. Then the WWV report will be back to normal.

I just noticed that this is a day or so late. It looks like they've made
some changes in their FTP site, and only the old data is there at the

Amazing what a bit of increase in K can do to TA's in the MidWest this time of
year. I had audio on over a dozen last night in Grafton WI with 657 Spain's 20
KW being decent for a while as an example, and tonite, just a few hets, no
audio and not even from Mauritania 783 which isn't affected
The WWV Solar Report will be offline for perhaps as much as a week. I'm
moving my office and they say it will take a while for the DSL to be moved.
It will return eventually, however. Look for it to end next Monday or
Tuesday. Unfortunately it will also be out of date on the am-dx.com web
site
The NOAA WWV Solar Report posting will be temporarily stopped while I am
away. The system occasionally has a glitch and posts this too many times.
I don't want that to happen when I'm not able to stop it. It will return
the second week of June.
Meanwhile, that information will be available as

and fix it. Sorry for the added bit of traffic.

After a few weeks of testing, the alert system for solar events has been
brought on line. It will issue a special message when conditions change
over the previous logging. A K-Index increase of 2, an A-Index increase of
10, and a Solar Flux increase of 20. These parameters can be changed easily

The Solar numbers are supposed to be lower tonight, but my radio says
they aren't. hi. CX to the East North are poor here. I wonder if the
numbers went back up? Even CFPR 860 is not good with XEMO mixing with it
even with, the South phased.
