The Russian (Puget Sound) station is quite decent tonight. The best I
have heard them in months, between S3-S5 off the NE EWE.
I noticed the KEX IBC is also back. Plus KXOR 660 is indeed back on
the air.

Another bad morning for hearing TP signals in north central Oklahoma. Between
1218 and 1304 UTC, weak carriers were heard on 648, 702, and 774. I heard
barely audible audio from JOAK 594 at 1243-1245 and 1258-1300. Receiver:
Tecsun PL-310 with 7.5-inch loopstick. Local sunrise was at 1251.
Probably of limited applicability as it mostly orients itself to SW and VHF.
While it includes what hams call LF, which correlates to 160 meters, which is
located above the MW BCB, the propagation characteristics aren't identical.
The bottom line with almost any MW propagation forecast is that
It was very poor for TP's again but I did hear audio from JOIB-747 and JOUB-774
around sunrise. Yesterday, I went out to check the antenna and found it in
good shape which I knew that it would be as we have had no storms in the last
week. It sure has been a very poor year for TP's with no
Actually Russ, the reason I mentioned it is because he specifically
provides forecasts for MW and LW; the MW forecast is the one I reproduced.

Can't say this was a much better morning here; I had a bit more time, and by
bottom feeding, managed to winkle out a few stations. No, hold on, 594 was
quite listenable for awhile this morning, and it's been a couple of days I
think since any station could have been described that way, other

very abstract so I was trying to see if i could determine what he was doing...

Hello All,
West coast DXers with reasonably low expectations probably had a
decent TP-DXing session this morning, at least in comparison to yesterday's
miserable results. Propagation from 1300-1335 was not bad, and allowed some

A vast improvement over 24 hours ago. Lower half of the band was especially
decent, though not quite back to average, with the upper half presenting few
signals with nothing strong. Dawn enhancement was lackluster this morning with
little improvement noted. Five R. Rossii LWBC in this morning

As others have noted, a much better morning than yesterday (though
that sets the bar awfully low). Audio was limited to the big guns,
Japan on 594, 693, 747, 774, and S.Korea on 972 and 1566, but audio did
reach some pretty decent levels at times, particularly from 774 and 693.

Thanks Dennis for the update on KKSN. Have you noticed KXOR-660
returned? No sign of 1040. Don't know about 1450 Eugene from this
distance.

India is very likely, even on an ultralight, from NF. I believe Saul
Chernos and Chuck Hutton nabbed this one on their barefoot ultralights a few
years ago. I had no ultralight to play with, but it was coming in fine on
my Drake while they went outside trying to make the whip work its magic.
