[IRCA] KXOR 660

2011-05-31 Thread Patrick Martin
KXOR is back off again. Apparently like some others, just signed on for a few days to keep their license going. I remember asking Bustos Media a few years ago about when Churchill shut down their stations (1450-Eugene, 660-Junction City, and 1040-Tigard-Portland), I asked if Bustos Media was

There is an FCC. However, if they acted on every single DX'ers report of I think this station is running over powered that's all they'd ever be investigating. As much as I don't like stations running overpower, they have other pressing matters to attend to. And unless you have field measurements

Paul, I e mailed an FCC official about a station once and the FCC official being in Portland did not really investagate the station as it was in another state where there are no FCC officials. I don't blame the FCC as they do not have the resources or manpower to ride herd on broadcasters today.

KXOR sounds like they have not been dropping power of late. At least not any 75 or 140 watts. They were S9+20 last night. That is quite a signal for 75/140 watts I would say. It seems a lot of SS stations seem to forget to throw the switch at LSS. 73, Patrick Patrick Martin KAVT Reception
