There were numerous 160m CW signals from EU in here this evening from just before sunset and for several hours after. Some were pretty loud. It's nice to hear strong EU's again on the topband and is surely a good omen as we head further down the sunspot slope. Bring on those long months of zero

I also had decent audio on 963 at 0350 and 0357, but it didn't last until 0400. 1134 was briefly good at 0410, 1269 hasd classical music 0345. I've also noted carriers on 909 972 1206 & 1215. The stuff is there but it's in and out. Overall, tonight's TA's (for me at least) are good for this

Hi Nick and Nigel, Thanks for your TA reports. Here I had weak audio from 1134-Croatia tonight, threshold audio from 693-BBC (received on October 21 at a better level) and strong carriers on 756 and 765. An interesting night, but not one of the better ones-- maybe we are getting spoiled?

It turned into largely a Spanish opening here. Heard Spain on: 531, 585, 639, 648, 684, 774, 855, 999, 1107, 1116, 1152, 1224, 1305, 1413, 1476, 1485, and 1503. You'd think all those Spaniards would mean I could get Portugal on 1035 - but the best I can get there is a moderate carrier. 73,

Checked the radio as soon as I got back, and found an interesting assortment of carriers and some audio. (not always on the expected freqs either) Some of the unusual ones I've noted are Libya on 1449, French on 1125 (Belgium??), a mix on 1485, and a possible N.Ireland on 1341. 73, Nigel Pim

Pretty tame so far with just carriers at 0430UT, and 1269 (!) being generally the strongest. 1215 is there also, but not 1134, being in daylight pretty much. Others, mostly quite weak, are 837, 855, 1008 1089 1107 1179. Nick ***
