The MB strongly condemns the terrorist attacks in India, which killed and
injured hundreds of innocent civilians. These despicable acts of terror
 are
an attack on humanity in general, not against people from certain
nationalities or civilization. We hope that perpetrators of these heinous
 be
brought to justice to receive the ultimate punishment for their crimes.

We must also take this opportunity to remind the world of the suffering of
the Palestinian people who are the victims of daily terror committed by
Israel and sanctioned by the free world, by imposing inhumane siege
 against
millions of civilians, including women and children.

We offer our condolences to the victims' families, and our prayers for
 world
 peace and stability

Bismillah [IslamCity] To be White and Rich

2008-11-29 Thread raja chemayel

George W Bush has ,today,just issued 14 presidential-pardons
for convicted-criminals on tax evasion,
stealing government properties and on cocaine-dealings.
etc...
(look up the details in the news)

And, I remember 8 years ago when George came to power ,
we used to criticise him for never ever giving any pardons
from the death-penalty-inmates into life imprisonment !!
at least

How time changes the tyrants !!
How time made now George more humane !!

God bless that President !!
this is surely good news to many convicted-criminals
( provided they are white and rich )

We shall also remember him as the wise-man
who once called Ariel Sharon a man of Peace.
Bush ought to pardon also Ariel
( who is also White and Rich and Criminal )

 A whoring, lying state

By Khalid Amayreh in occupied Palestine

27 November, 2008

Israel routinely claims to be civilized, and democratic. However, in
truth, Israel is neither civilized nor democratic. In fact, one can safely
claim that Israel is actually a criminal, barbarian and utterly uncivilized
state that lives and thrives on murder, theft and mendacity.

The following observations are an irrefutable proof showing that Israel
differs very little from criminal states throughout history, past and present.

Take, for example, the ongoing daily rampages by Jewish thugs, otherwise
known as settlers, against Palestinians and their property in the southern
West Bank town of Hebron.

Bismillah [IslamCity] Mumbai Terror Attack: an observation

Mumbai The Mossad Angle

GAUTAM ADHIKARI SPEAK UP… DO SOMETHING…SAY OPENLY THAT THE RSS-MOSSAD ARE
RESPONSIBLE–OTHERWISE BE DAMNED AND CONSIDER THE NATION DOOMED. THEY KILLED
KARKARE TO SEND A MESSAGE THAT YOU CANNOT INVESTIGATE THE MOSSAD-RSS ANGLE.

Mumbai and India Under Attack
- Amaresh Misra
http://top-secret-at.blogspot.com/search/label/Mumbai%20The%20Mossad%20Angle

It is 4AM in India right now. I am in Mumbai reporting from the ground. I have
not slept a wink. Mumbai is under attack. People and forces who killed Mahatama
Gandhi, who demolished the Babari Mosque have triumphed. More than 16 groups of
terrorists have taken over Taj, Oberai and several hotels. Hundreds of people
are dead. For the first time no one is blaming Muslim organizations. The Mumbai
ATS chief Hemant Karkare and other officers of the ATS have been killed. These
were the same people who were investigating the Malegaon Blasts–in which
Praggya Singh, an army officer and several other noted personalities of the
BJP-RSS-Bajrang Dal-VHP were arrested. Karkare was the man to arrest them.
Karkare was receiving threats from several quarters. LK Advani, the BJP chief
and several other prominent leaders of the so-called Hindu terrorism squad were
gunning for his head. And the first casualty in the terrorist attack was
Karkare! He is dead–gone–the
firing by terrorists began from Nariman House–which is the only building in
Mumbai inhabited by Jews. Some Hindu Gujaratis of the Nariman area spoke live
on several TV channels–they openly said that the firing by terrorists began
from Nariman house. And that for two years suspicious activities were going on
in this house. But no one took notice.

Our worst fears have come true. It is clear that Mossad is involved in the
whole affair. An entire city has been attacked by Mossad and probably units of
mercenaries. It is not possible for one single organization to plan and execute
such a sophisticated operation. It is clear that this operation was backed by
communal forces from within the Indian State. The Home Minister Shivraj Patil
should resign. The RSS-BJP-VHP-Bajrang Dal should be banned. Advani and others
ought to be arrested. Today is a day of shame for all Indians and all Hindus.
Muslims and secular Hindus have been proven right. RSS type forces and Israel
are all involved in not only destabilizing but finishing India. India should
immediately snap all relations with Israel. We owe this much to Karkare and the
brave ATS men who had shown the courage to arrest Praggya Singh, Raj Kumar
Purohit, the army officer and several others.

A photograph publushed in Urdu Times, Mumbai, clearly shows that Mossad and
ex-Mossad men came to India and met Sadhus and other pro-Hindutva elements
recently. A conspiracy was clearly hatched.

This is a moment of reckoning especially for Hindus of India. The killers of
Gandhi have struck again. If we are true Sanatanis and true Hindus and true
nationalists and true patriots we have to see this act as a clear attack by
anti-national deshdrohi forces. Praggya Singh, Advani and the entire brand is
anti-national. They ought to be shot. Any Hindu siding with them is hereafter
warned of serious consequences.

This is a question of nationalism. If no one else, the Indian army will not
take this lying down. Communal, anti-national forces have attacked the very
foundation of the Indian constitution and the nation. We will fight a civil war
if need be against the pro-Hindutva, communal forces and their Israeli backers.

If the terrorists were pakistanis y the hell were they fighting for indian

If deccan mujahedeen (from india) have taken the responsibility then y the PM
says that the terrorists are from outside country( indirectly pointing
pakistan).

If they are from india or pakistan y they were looikng for britons and
americans. and if they were fighting for release of arresten indian mujahedeen

Were they looking for english people, were they fighting for indian arrested

Y Advani says it was similar to Akshardhaam blasts( does he want to raise
hindi- muslims fights again??? ??).

Dear All,

By above comments i dont mean to support any community or country or group. Its
time to wake up and hold hands together. Political leaders are brainless
creatures who spend crores of Rs: for there own security n poor people are not
even protected from cold or rain. Its nonsense if we hope them to help out.
They already started making it political issue. Media is unsure of any thing
and starts blaming all the terrorist groups one after the other.

On paper it seems to be 130+ killed and more than 300 injured. But by killing
100+ people they have ruined 1000s of life and 100s of families.
Muslims, hindus, sikhs, christians, jews, britons. People from all the races
have been killed. So how can it be a religious war?

Killing of human is not allowed in any religion and very much restricted in
islam.

few black sheeps spoil the entire comminity's name.

Pray to almighty Allah that these people get hidayah n this shld not become a
religious fight like in gujarat few years ago.

InshaAllah every culprit will pay here or here after. Allah is not unjust
beshak. He is seeing every thing and he will for sure punish all the sinners.

Pray for all. JazakAllah.

Allah hafiz.

Bismillah [IslamCity] Thought for the day

2008-11-29 Thread PoEtEsS
As Salaamu Alaikum

Determination is the strength that will enable you to pass the barrier of
useless thoughts in order to create positive thoughts and to be successful in
whatever you wish. It comes from within and its partner is patience. Patience
teaches you not to push but rather to wait and appreciate the game of life
instead, knowing that nothing remains the same, and everything will change at
some point.

The Monarch will also be briefed on completed projects and several other

Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Majed said the Royal approval for treating Madina as a
Haj zone effective from this year will have a positive impact and will enable
the region to extend excellent services to the pilgrims.

Dr. Mohammad Bin Ali Al-Oqla, Director of the Islamic University in Madina,
said eight projects are currently being carried out at the university, at a

* Funny how long a couple of hours spent at the mosque are, but howshort they

* Funny how we can't think of anything to say when we pray, but don'thave

Bismillah [IslamCity] Duua for worries and debt.

2008-11-29 Thread ***hajikhan***

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (radhiAllaahu 'anhu) reported,
One day the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) entered the mosque.
He (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) saw there a man from the Ansar called Abu
Umamah.
He(sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) asked, 'What is the matter with you
that I see you sitting in the mosque when it is not the time of prayer.
' He replied, 'I am very much worried and in great debt, O Messenger of Allah!'
The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said,

'Let me teach you words to say so that
Allah will remove your worries and settle your debt?'

He exclaimed, 'Of course, O, Messenger of Allah.'
The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said,
'Say in morning and evening,

Allahumma innee a`udhu bika mina al-hamm wal hazan
wa a`udhu bika mina al-`ajzi wa al-kasal
wa a`udhu bika mina al-jubun wa al-bukhl
wa a`udhu bika min ghalabati al-dayni wa qahri al-rrijaal

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from all worry and grief. I seek refuge in You
from
incapacity and slackness. I seek refuge in You from cowardice and niggardliness,
and I seek refuge in You from being overcome by debt and being subjected to
men.
' The man said, 'When I did that, Allah removed all my worries and settled my
debt'.

Bismillah [IslamCity] A bidah in Islamic greeting

2008-11-29 Thread Shahid
A Common Bidah during Hajj

by Asma bint Shameem

I remember, last year during Hajj, I met an Arab sister. She happened to be in
the same camp as I was, during our stay in Mina, and as Hajj was ending, we
were sad to see each other go. Going through the Hajj rituals had brought us
close together. Just as we were about to part and go our ways, she said to me
La ilaaha illAllaah, and waited expectantly for me to reply.

I looked at her. and I was quiet.

Although, I loved her for the sake of Allaah, I could not reply back.

How could I? I loved her for the sake of Allaah and so I had to tell her.

I told her as gently as I could.

Dear sister, what you said and what I am supposed to say back to you is not
from the Sunnah of Rasullaah (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam).

She was aghast. What! How could you not reply to me! she said. She was very
upset and informed me that we will not be able to meet each other again, here
in the dunya or in Jannah if I dont respond by saying, Muhammad ur Rasullah,
back to her.

When I remained quiet, she left.without even saying As Salaamu Alaikum to
me...the REAL greeting of the people of Jannah!

We live in difficult times. Times when a lot of bidah (innovation) has crept
into the pure, perfect Shareeah that Muhammad (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam)
came with. And one such bidah that has spread like wild fire, especially among
my Arab brothers and sisters, is saying La ilaaha illAllaah when parting with
each other.

When two people are parting from one another, the last thing they say before
parting is La ilaaha illAllaah and the other says Muhammad ur Rasullah, to
complete the sentence. And, their saying this, they believe, will ensure that
they will meet each other again, in this world and in Jannahsomething
that will bring them goodness and 'Khair'.kind of like a 'good luck charm'.
Some of them even think it is part of the deen of Islaam.

And, it is of UTMOST importance, they believe, that you have to reply back. If
someone says La ilaaha illAllaah at the time of parting and if you don't
reply Muhammadur Rasullah, it is as if you are bringing on the wrath of
Allaah! Or some great evil is about to befall you, or that you will never meet
again. Like I said..kind of like a 'good luck charm'.

This bidah has become SO rampant that yesterday, I even noticed a Spanish
REVERT sister, who has just recently accepted Islaam, talking to someone on the
phone and just as she was hanging up, the last thing she said was, La ilaaha
illAllaah and, back came the reply, Muhammadur Rasullah.

In fact, it was this incidence yesterday that prompted me to write about this
topic today.

Where did she learn that? Who taught her this bidah?

Which Ayah of the Qu'aan or books of Hadeeth did she learn this from?

Obviously, it was from people. Muslims, who dont know any better, who think
this is part of our deen or a matter of earning rewards, or even something that
decides your Qadar' that decides whom you will meet and not meet, to say this
'Kalimah' at the time of parting.

Why is it wrong?

Obviously the statement La ilaaha illAllaah Muhammadur Rasullah, is the BEST
statement a person can make...EVER.

In fact, this statement marks the difference between Imaan and Kufr, between
Jannah and Jahannum.

Then why is it so wrong to say it when parting from one another??

When someone asked the knowledgeable Shaykh Saleh al-Munajjid about this
matter, here is what he said:

Firstly, there is no hadeeth which speaks of this dhikr when parting or
concluding a gathering. Hence persisting in it or believing it to be a dhikr
that is prescribed on such occasions is a bidah that is to be rejected, because
the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) said: Whoever does any action that
is not in accordance with our affair will have it rejected. (Muslim).

The scholars have stated that singling out a particular time or place for an
act of worship, or a particular manner in which it is to be done, with no proof
from the texts, makes it a kind of bidah and innovation, in which case it is
called bidah idaafiyyah. It is prescribed in principle, but is REJECTED because

Bismillah [IslamCity] Bing Bang Experiment - Large Hadron Collider nearly ready[Rare Photos]

2008-11-29 Thread Arun M
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC), a 27
kilometer (17 mile) long particle accelerator straddling the border of
Switzerland and France, is nearly set to begin its first particle beam
tests. The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) is
preparing for its first small tests in early August, leading to a
planned full-track test in September - and the first planned particle
collisions before the end of the year. The final step before starting
is the chilling of the entire collider to -271.25 C (-456.25 F). Here
is a collection of photographs from CERN, showing various stages of
completion of the LHC and several of its larger experiments (some over
seven stories tall), over the past several years

Bismillah [IslamCity] Social service in Islam By Sidrah Unis Friday Feature Courtesy:http://dawn.com/2008/11/21/ed.htm

Social service in Islam By Sidrah Unis

SOCIETY, since its inception, has witnessed a never-ending tussle between the
rich and the poor. It has looked upon misuse of power and suppression of the
weak with an air of cynicism and helplessness.

However, amidst this resignation, some step forward to work for the economic,
social and emotional wellbeing of the less privileged. Social service is a
realisation that a certain situation or practice is detrimental to the interest
of a particular class of people and will have serious repercussions on society
as a whole; the negative impact can be avoided by acting collectively.

Social service involves not only monetary help but also the creation of
opportunities for the uplift and betterment of a people, particularly the
needy. It is also an effort to discourage malpractices. Social service has
sound roots in Islamic injunctions:

“Certainly, We created Man in the best mould. Then We [also] render him the
lowest of the low, except those who believe and do good…” (95: 4-6) The Holy
Prophet (PBUH) once said, “You shall not enter Paradise until you have faith;
and you cannot attain faith until you love one another. Have compassion on
those who are on earth and He in heavens will have compassion on you. God will
show no compassion to one who shows no compassion towards fellow human beings.”

Monetary help is one of the most important components of social service.
Philanthropy in Islam is of two kinds in the main: obligatory and voluntary.
Obligatory philanthropy consists of Zakat and Fitra; voluntary philanthropy
includes Sadqah and Waqf; “…But righteous is he who believes…and gives of his
wealth, for love of Him, to kinfolk and to orphans and the needy and the
wayfarer, and to those who ask and sets slaves free…and pays Zakat…” (2: 177)
(See also 3: 91).

Zakat is a share of wealth that is obligatory upon a Muslim to give to fixed
categories of beneficiaries if the value of his assets is more than the
specified limit. Islam has specified the persons to whom Zakat is payable:
“(Zakat) charity is only for the poor and the needy, and those employed to
administer it, and those whose hearts are made to incline to (truth), and (to
free) the captives, and those in debt, and in the way of Allah… for the
wayfarer…” (9: 60). While only Muslims must pay Zakat, there’s no bar on its
distribution among needy non-Muslims. In Islamic history we have seen its
collection and distribution by the state.

The Prophet said, “Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection: ‘O son of Adam, I
fell ill and you visited Me not. Man will say: O Lord, and how should I visit
You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: Did you not know that my
so-and-so servant (man) was ill and you visited him not? Did you not know that
had you visited him you would have found Me with him? [Then Allah will say] I
asked you for food and you fed Me not. Man will reply: …and how should I feed
You? He will say: My so-and-so servant asked you for food and you fed him not.
Did you not know that had you fed him you would surely have found that (the
reward of doing so) with Me..?”

Thus the long hadith goes on outlining the various aspects of social service,
and is a testimony that Islam enjoins service and kindness to fellow human
beings. “To orphans restore their property (when they reach their age), not
substitute (your) worthless things for their good ones; and devour not their
substance (by mixing it up) with your own…” (04: 02) (See also 2: 220). The
Prophet said, “Those striving to help widows and the poor are like those
striving in the way of Allah.”

According to another hadith, the Prophet narrated: “While a man was on his way,
he found a thorny branch on the way and removed it. Allah thanked him for that
deed and forgave him [his sins].” Islam enjoins service to the people, be it
ever so modest. The Prophet said that whosoever removes a worldly grief of a
believer, Allah will remove from him one grief on the Day of Judgment. Whoever
alleviates (the lot of) a needy person, Allah will alleviate (his lot) in this
world and the next… Allah will aid His servant so long as the servant aids his
fellow brother…

The Quran and the traditions of the Prophet are replete with such injunctions
adjoining social service.

Bismillah [IslamCity] Makkah to be turned into smart city

2008-11-29 Thread Shahid
Makkah to be turned into smart city

JEDDAH: A two-day international conference on intelligent cities will be held
in Makkah in January next year with the objective of transforming Makkah into a
smart city with advanced technological facilities.

Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal will open the conference at Umm Al-Qura
University’s King Abdul Aziz Historical Hall on Jan. 19. It will bring together
a large number of experts from around the world to discuss the best ways to
apply intelligent city concept to Makkah.

The conference will be organized by the Makkah Municipality in association with
the Communications and Information Technology Commission and the Haj Research
Center. “This is the largest conference on intelligent cities to be held in the
Kingdom,” said Makkah Mayor Osama Al-Bar.

“It aims at expediting the use of smart city technologies in Makkah for the
benefit of the millions of pilgrims who come to the city every year for Haj and
Umrah,” the mayor said.

He said the conference would contribute to improving the services being
rendered by various government departments in the city to both citizens and
pilgrims. “It will make Makkah a model for other Muslim cities around the
world.”

“This conference is an initiative to apply smart city technologies in the
Kingdom and transform it into a knowledge-based society and a digital economy,”
the mayor pointed out. The presence of intelligent city facilities will speed
up communication with the outside world and boost cultural, economic and
commercial development, Al-Bar said, adding that the conference would discuss
successful experiments in the field at national and international levels.

The transformation of Makkah into a world-class intelligent city will help
address the needs of pilgrims from around the world, said Mohammed Maqazi, head
of the conference’s scientific committee.

“The pilgrims need accommodations, meals, information and communication
channels, and various modes of transportation. A combination of the latest
technologies that integrate fixed and wireless broadband networks, fixed and
mobile GIS and GPS applications, and user-friendly information and
communications points can greatly enhance the visitors experience, and the
city's objective of quality services to the visitors of the holy sites,” he
explained.

He said discussions at the conference would include e-government, safety
control systems and security applications, intelligent city management
applications, and how to develop a large community of users with ICT skills.

While the availability of the needed broadband infrastructure is the central
issue for the needed transformation, the conference will also address the need
to improve city services to residents and guests, boost productivity, enhance
global communications, and provide state-of-the-art emergency response and
disaster mitigation applications.

There will be workshops on e-government services suite, GIS based planning and
management applications, mobile GIS emergency response applications, security,
law enforcement and safety control applications.

*Michael Jackson converts to Islam: report*

*Yousef Islam witnessed Jackson [a revert, previously known famous
singer as Cat Stevens] take shahada, the paper said*

DUBAI (AlArabiya.net)

Troubled U.S. star Michael Jackson has converted to Islam and changed his
name to Mikaeel, press reports said Friday.

A conversion ceremony was held at a Los Angeles mansion where Jackson was
seen wearing 'Islamic garb', British tabloid The Sun reported quoting an
unnamed source.

Jackson reportedly took the shahada—the Islamic declaration of belief—and
became a Muslim, just days before he was due in a London court where he is
being sued by a Bahraini prince.

The paper reported that British singer Yousef Islam—previously known as Cat
Stevens before he famously became a Muslim—was also at the ceremony held at
the Hollywood Hills home of Toto keyboard player Steve Porcaro, 51, who
composed music on Jackson's Thriller album.

Jackson's new name is reportedly Mikaeel after he rejected the name Mustafa,
the paper said, adding the decision to convert came about as Jackson was
recording a new album.

The former 'King of Pop'—who has been accused and acquitted of child
molestation several times—is back in court after Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad
al-Khalifa, the second son of the king of Bahrain, filed a claim against
Jackson for breaching an agreement to record a new album and says the star
owes him $7 million.

The 50-year-old star, pledged his allegiance to the Koran in a ceremony at a

Jackson sat on the floor wearing a tiny hat after an Imam was summoned to
officiate -- days before the singer is due to appear at London's High Court
where he is being sued by an Arab Sheik, the paper said.

The star decided to adopt the new religion while he was recording a

Apparently the star of hits like 'the Way You Make Me Feel-was convinced by
his producer and songwriter friends David Wharnsby and Phillip Bubal.

They began talking to him about their beliefs, and how they thought they
had become better people after they converted. Michael soon began warming to

An Imam was summoned from the mosque and Michael went through the shahada,
which is the Muslim declaration of belief, the source revealed.

The singer, who rarely ventures out without a mask, is due to give evidence
on Monday in a 4.7 million pound lawsuit brought by Prince Abdulla Al-Khalif
of Bahrain for defaulting on an exclusive recording contract.
