Never fight. make today a breeze not a battle. Never fight. Nothing is worth
fighting for. Wisdom never fights, it waits patiently, speaks positively,
releases easily, sees benefit in everything and envisions a future of
abundance...knowing that all needs will be met at the right moment, in the
right way. If you think life is a struggle you will always be struggling, If
you think life is a breeze, your attitudes and actions will convey lightness
and easiness. And that's what attracts everything you need, and much more. Make

Humility grows a little more each time I step away from my own feelings and
opinions and genuinely listen to the experience of another human being.
Humility is dedication to the extent that no acknowledgement is sought for the

Be Content
Wherever I am is wherever I am meant to be, whatever I am doing is whatever I
am meant to be doing and whatever everyone else is doing is exactly what they
are meant to be doing - this is contentment. If you do want to change where you
are, or what you are doing, the first thing is to be content with wherever you
are and whatever you are doing right now! Paradoxically that's what attracts
opportunities and invitations to be somewhere else! Why? Because you are a
living magnet, and contentment is one of your most attractive qualities. And
the law of attraction says that according to your dominant thoughts so you will
attract the people and circumstances into your life. Being content right now
attracts the best possible future

As Salaamu Alaikum
Live Fully They say 'only fools live to the full'. Because only fools go where
most of us fear to go, only fools do what many of us spend our lives avoiding.
You don't have to climb Mount Everest, or cross the world in a hot air balloon
to live to the full. Simply enter each day with a commitment not to avoid
anything or anybody who comes your way. Then your Everests will come to you, in
the form of difficult people and challenging situations, and the only thing you
will need to conquer is our own fear and evasions. And when you do conquer, you
will know that you have lived fully, for there is nothing more exhilarating
than overcoming our own obstacles which, if the truth were known, are always
only in our own minds. When you turn to face these inner obstacles and
challenges some people call this real courage and you certainly are no fool.

A THOUGHT
SOUL SEARCHING

It is the soul which will be asked and rebuked. It becomes fortunate if it is
purified and cleaned, and it becomes unfortunate if it is kept impure.
It is the knowledge of the soul which is the root of the knowledge of Allah.
When man does not know himself he does not know Allah.
Majority of people are ignorant of the soul and its attributes as screen is
cast between the soul and the baser self. Allah says: He moves between a man
and his soul and controls it and its attributes. It is between the two fingers
of the Merciful. It sometimes reaches the last limit of the devil and
sometimes rises so high as to the throne of the Almighty.
He who does not enquire about his soul is included among those persons of whom
Allah says in the following verse: They forgot Allah and so He made their
souls forgetful. They are the transgressors.“ [19:67]
It is therefore essential to know the soul and its attributes which is the root
of religion.

A THOUGHT
TEN THINGS WE WASTE
-
1. Our Knowledge: Wasted by not taking action with it.
2. Our Actions: Wasted by committing them without sincerity.
3. Our Wealth: Wasted by using on things that will not bring us Ajr (reward
from Allah). We waste our money, our status, our authority, on things which
have no benefit in this life or in Aakhirah (hereafter).
4. Our Hearts: Wasted because they are empty from the love of Allah, and the
feeling of longing to go to Him, and a feeling of peace and contentment. In its
place, our hearts are filled with something or someone else.
5. Our Bodies: Wasted because we don't use them in Ibaadah (worship) and
service of Allah.
6. Our Love: Our emotional love is misdirected, not towards Allah, but towards
something/someone else.
7. Our Time: Wasted, not used properly, to compensate for that which has
passed, by doing what is righteous to make up for past deeds.
8. Our Intellect: Wasted on things that are not beneficial, that are
detrimental to society and the individual, not in contemplation or reflection.
9. Our Service: Wasted in service of someone who will not bring us closer to
Allah, or benefit in Dunya.
10. Our Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah): Wasted, because it does not affect us or
our hearts.

sweetness, and for a while after, you remain happy, become sweet-natured
yourself so that words filled with sweetness are constantly spoken. Such sweet
words make both you and others happy. Use this method to always sweeten
everyone's mouth; constantly maintain a sweet attitude, sweet words and sweet
actions.

Love
Love is a powerful force. It can take us to great heights and leave us feeling
light and airy. Yet it has been the most abused and misused force. Many
degraded things pass for love. True love is based on understanding, mutual
trust and respect and not simply on transient emotions. Love is being in
balance, that is, in harmony with the self, God and each other. Love dwells in
the soul. We must allow this love to flow out and around us. Without love, all
of life's treasures are locked away from our vision and experiences, for indeed
'love is the key.'

glasses of seeing only specialities. Nothing else should be visible. For
instance, when you wear red glasses, even something green will appear to be
red. So when coming into connection with everyone, adopt the vision of seeing
only their specialities and you will become special.

Resolve Conflict
There has probably never been a time where there has been so much fear and
conflict across the world, not just across oceans and borders but across the
breakfast table. In fact many now prefer conflict to peace, as they become
addicted to the actions of anger and aggression, and the adrenaline rush which
results. They don't really want conflict to end, in fact, they will say that
some conflict is good to get things done and stimulate change. They are not
aware that they are killing themselves. All conflict is simply a symptom of
attachment to a position. And as we know, this generates fear, and fear, if
allowed to stay, eventually kills it's host. All solutions are based on
detachment or letting go. But that will be difficult until we can see that all
possession is an illusion, that we have nothing to lose and that there are no
victories in winning.

Respect
When I learn to respect myself, other people will respect me. How can I
develop respect for myself? By keeping my mind positive and encouraging myself
to grow and change for the better. Demanding respect because of my position or
background is simply arrogance. On the other hand, listening with humility and
valuing other people's advise naturally earns me respect. I get back exactly
what I give out.

Honesty does not mean simply speaking your mind. Honesty means to be very
clear about everything going on inside you. Where there is honesty, feelings
become pure and clean. Honesty is where there are no other thoughts or feelings
inside, other than those that God himself would have. Such clarity is reflected
in your words; they will be filled with the power of truth, and spoken with
ease and without hesitation. The genuine honesty cultivated within you is what
will reach out and touch others.

Listen In
Only when we find the quietness in our own minds can we begin to hear our
inner teacher, so that we may receive some in-tuition. Only when we are ready
to recognise and value the wisdom that we carry at the core of our being will
we turn our attention inwards and 'listen in'. But it's been a long time since
we truly listened, so a little practice and patience will be needed. Sit down,
be quiet and listen in at some point today and you might be surprised at what
you hear. Then do it again tomorrow. All you need to do is remember that you
are the listener and not the noise.

Live Purposefully
If you don't live life on purpose you live life by accident. Why do some days
feel like a motorway pile up? It's because you haven't sorted out your purpose
yet. The highest purpose is always giving, or serving others, without wanting
anything in return. This is why relaxation is always impossible if we are
always 'on the take'. There is an overall purpose for your life, and each of
the many scenes which fill your day are opportunities to serve your purpose.
Take time to think deeply, listen to your intuition, and with patience, the
reason why you are here, and what you uniquely have to give, will occur to you.
Then you can live your life 'on purpose'.

SOUL SEARCHING

It is the soul which will be asked and rebuked. It becomes fortunate if
it is purified and cleaned, and it becomes unfortunate if it is kept
impure.
It is the knowledge of the soul which is the root of the knowledge of
Allah. When man does not know himself he does not know Allah.
Majority of people are ignorant of the soul and its attributes as screen
is cast between the soul and the baser self. Allah says: He moves
between a man and his soul and controls it and its attributes. It is
between the two fingers of the Merciful. It sometimes reaches the last
limit of the devil and sometimes rises so high as to the throne of the
Almighty.
He who does not enquire about his soul is included among those persons
of whom Allah says in the following verse: They forgot Allah and so He
made their souls forgetful. They are the transgressors. [19:67]
It is therefore essential to know the soul and its attributes which is
the root of religion.

Love All
Love can never be exclusive. The sun does not choose to shine on some flowers
in the garden and not others. Love is inclusive and has many faces - caring,
listening, sharing from the heart, just accepting someone for what they are
right now, are all acts of love, as long as you seek nothing in return. It all
starts with acceptance of yourself - you're just fine as you are right now,
warts and all. It's not that you will stay that way for ever - but you might,
if you don't accept. The secret key to the greatest door called love is
acceptance. First your self, then others (especially the ones you currently
resist) and eventually ...all.

As Salaamu Alaikum
A THOUGHT
The most important thing for us to know is that afflictive emotion is
our ultimate enemy and source of suffering. Once it develops within our
mind, it immediately destroys our peace of mind, and eventually destroys
our health and even our friendships with other people. All negative
activities and (acting out negatively) stem from afflictive emotion.
This therefore is our real enemy. And unlike an external enemy that we
can keep a distance from, this destroyer of our happiness resides
internally always with us. To rid ourselves of its effects we must
re-train our minds and ways of thinking.

Forgiveness
Why is it hard to forgive others? Usually because we believe that they are 90%
to blame for the problem, that I am not as bad as they are. So I start to carry
the load of other people's actions. If my ego is too hurt, I will have the
sense of correction, of justice: 'I know I am right', 'That is not fair'. But
if I start to forgive from the heart, sincerely, then this kind of feeling and
attitude begins to dissolve. I remain humble and this forgiveness will bring me
closer to others. Then I do not carry regrets or anger, I just let go and
remain light.

Inside Out
There is essentially only one way in which you can bring about
self-transformation - that's if you want to - but you will not think you need
to if you are still taking your happiness from outside yourself, and still
managing to tolerate the periods of unhappiness which result. As soon as your
happiness is dependent on anything outside, you make yourself a slave to a
condition, substance or perhaps a person. A slave is not free. And happiness is
impossible if you are not free. Perhaps this goes some way to explaining why
our happiness fluctuates. Real happiness does not go up and down. Real freedom
means that your happiness comes from inside out. That will require detachment
and renunciation, not least from the illusions and conditioning of society
which would have you believe happiness can be acquired from outside in. Can you
see it? Inside out, not outside in!

An Honest Heart
An honest heart is an open heart. If we are dishonest in any way with ourselves
or with others, it means we are in hiding. There is a wall, a barrier behind
which we conceal something of ourselves. Subtle tension will be our companion,
and while most of us learn to live with it, it drains our energy and tightens
our muscles. On the other hand don't be too honest with others - feel their
pulse - sometimes others are not ready to hear what's in your heart. But know
that when you are honest you will experience a level of inner relaxation that
you had forgotten was even possible.

Silence
We have to develop this hobby and practice going into the depths of silence.
Practice this, make it your hobby and see how much you then enjoy it. The
tiredness of the soul will then be removed. We will feel that we are able to
remain carefree and restful. When the soul is tired it is restless and there is
a lot of worry; we think I have to do this, that and so we cannot feel restful.
All actually I have to do is to remain peaceful and there will be the feeling
that everything will be ok...

Contentment
The more positive the thoughts flowing through my mind, the more contented I
will feel. It is easy to feel contented when we are praised and appreciated but
to remain contented when we are being critised and rejected is the mark of real
spiritual strength. The way to develop this level of strength is to learn about
God's way of loving. Only when I am in deep contemplation can I see God showing
me the kind of love I need to express so that I myself never reject or critise
and always generate good wishes for others. Then I will feel satisfied no
matter what life throws at me.

ingredient for all creation and all that is created. It is a power in its own

Staying Peaceful
Desires cause peace to disappear. You think that acquiring things will make you
feel secure, but the reality is that the more you have the more fear there
usually is of losing it, and the further you are from peace. Desires are the
cause of all conflicts. When you want something and cannot get it you become
frustrated. Learning to be free from desires is learning how to stay peaceful.

{Invite (mankind, O Muhammad ) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom
(i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Qur'an) and fair preaching, and argue
with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone
astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided.} (Holy
Quran-16:125)
{And who is better in speech than he who [says: My Lord is Allah (believes in
His Oneness), and then stands straight (acts upon His Order), and] invites
(men) to Allah's (Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: I
am one of the Muslims.} (Holy Quran-41:33)
The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: By Allah, if
Allah guides one person by you, it is better for you than the best types of
camels. [al-Bukhaaree, Muslim]
The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said, Whoever
calls to guidance will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who
follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all.
[Muslim, Ahmad, Aboo Daawood, an-Nasaa'ee, at-Tirmidhee, Ibn Maajah]
