I don't think they intend to have animations happening here. They explain their [rationale](https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/ios/visual-design/launch-screen/#:~:text=Every%20app%20must%20supply%20a%20launch%20screen.=To%20accommodate%20the%20screen%20sizes,all%20of%20your%20launch%20screens.) But doing what they suggest is difficult when you don't build your UI with the native tooling, because we aren't using native UI. So I think, the best alternative is to hide the native splashscreen as soon as possible, even if that just simply reveals a web-based splashscreen with a spinner. In general, users prefer to wait while loading animations. If the screen is displayed for too long, the user will think that the application is unresponsive. When picking files from the gallery, sometimes it can return "null" as the
path, but on the success callback.
This PR will call the error callback if the file path is null (might be
breaking if people is expecting null result for some reason?)
The PR also unify the logic, since at the moment this code returns a file url

The PR will try to return a file url if available, and if not available, the

For example in my app, before I show my own UI I first check if the user has stored credentials, and if so load the main screen first. Otherwise load the login screen. If using a custom scheme, the WebView won't allow to load file urls in
img/video tags (nor fetch them, nor anything).
cordova-ios added a helper method to convert file urls to urls that have the
scheme and the WebView can understand.
`window.WkWebView.convertFilePath('your/file/path');`
