It is working on well on Fedora 39. On ubuntu 2022.04 I am seeing this
message when enabling debug logs and it doesn't finish a test curl request.

I updated the documentation to build with cmake. I am testing the changes
with fresh Fedora 39 and Ubuntu 22.04 docker images and will update this
