NS_JAVA not obeyed by rmiregistry

Hi there, just a quick note (I'm running java_ns version "Linux_JDK_1.1.6_v1"): rmiregistry tries to run "java" even tho I have NS_JAVA set to 1. I had to modify the script to start "java_ns" instead. Could you change this erroneous behavior in a future version, please? TIA, Ralf -- Ral

Hi - I'm pretty knew to Linux and this list and am trying to get a large pure Java IDE up and running under the Blackdown JDK1.1.6 using Swing 1.0.3 components. I'm using Slackware 2.0.0 (I think) with XFree86 3.1.1 (again I think) and using the Blackdown v2 libc5 version. The system comes up ok
