Hi all,
It'll probably sound trivial for most of you, but I've just installed

tya-1.0-2
tya is a just-in-time compiler for sun's jdk port
it works with both jdk-sbb and jdk-sn rpms (at least I hope).

Hi,
When I was still using Win95, I'd installed the Java
version of AOL's Instant Messenger.
I have my old Win95 disks mounted under Red Hat Linux 5.1.
Tonight I tried running AOLim under Linux with
Blackdown's JDK 1.1.6-2. All I had to do was:
%cd '/mnt/c/Program Files/AOLim'
%jre -cp AIM.jar
How about the CLASSPATH env var? echo $CLASSPATH should show something
like: /usr/local/jdk/lib/classes.zip:/java:.
most common problem with the class not found thing is improper classpath.

Running Slackware 3.4 with JDK 1.1.5 I can run javac but when I run java
Test in directory /java I get the error Test.class not find.
My profile has "." set and I also export my PATH="$PATH:/java" but it still
can't find it.
Any ideas will be helpful.

Hi
Does anyone on this list have some experience with Java Blend? Although
Sun's anouncement looks promising ("to simplify entreprise database
development"), I find the product rather expensive (and it is a version
1.0).

Hi, folks!
I reported bug about SIGSEGV on Russian input in JDK1.1.6/glibc on RH5.1
So, after some hacking, I have kind of solution.
First, upgrade your libc packages to last RH upgrades (build 19).
Then remove libc from JDK distribution.
And finally say export LD_PRELOAD=libBrokenLocale.so so
It's in the README.linux file located in the root of your jdk
distribution.
Under the section 'Java Virtual Machine variations'
I just looked in my profile, and to set the static version
you should *not* have the variable JAVA_DYN set
hmmm... if you have not set this variable, you should already
