Can't tell you when. I can tell you that I've started actual compilation and

Change, the permission on sunwjit.so to 755 so that ordinary users can use it.
You will find it under ...jre/lib/i386.

I was a little bummed about that, but since we haven't upgraded to 2.1

Jenya,
I seem to recall reading that the upgrade to 1.2.2 involved only changes to
the java code that is disributed with the JDK and JRE (i.e. no changes were
made to the JVM). If I'm wrong, please, somebody, let me know. If this is
the case, then you should be able to take the 1.2.2 jars and p
Hi,
I am wondering if it is possible to use sdk 1.2.2 somehow with Linux.
Will it work if I will replace jdk 1.2pre-v1 release's jars with 1.2.2
ones from Sun?
Best regards,
Jenya.

Hi,
I have not been successful in either getting a thread dump or the
SIGQUIT menu in JDK117_v3 with native threads. With green threads the
signal works as expected. Has anyone had any luck in this regard?
TIA,

I disagree, given the nature of the announcement I found thjis
extremely interesting. The post was short, to the point and about a
free software. Given the interest expressed in the past by several
people about Java and 3D I think this was appropriate.

Hi,
I just joined the list this morning and have already seen lots of good info !!
I am trying to bring up Java on a Slackware 2.0.33 system without X.
My eventual goal is to install the JSDK (Java Servlet Dev. Kit) and
mod_jserv to work with Apache. I have Apache installed and
configured.

does any one have and indication as to when a version of the jdk 1.2
will be available that is compatible with glibc 2.1? Couldn't find

Hi
Has anyone tried using the Blackdown JDK with MicroImages X-server? When I run
an AWT application the text is unreadable. I assume the X-server does not
have the required fonts so that I either need to provide the X-server with
the correct fonts or else modify font.properties so that the JDK

It's in the Oracle8i CD. It seems to support JDBC1.2 (yeehaa !) as well but
I have not tried this function it yet.
