NEdit v5.0 is an excellent X-based editor, which does syntax
highlighting for a wide variety of languages, including java.

Viper is a 'vi' emulation mode for 'emacs'.

2.0. When I was developing on WinNT and Solaris 2.6 (Intel), I liked having
some degree of conformity in my development environments. It's also fairly
