Hi,
I find it interesting that no one has remarked on the similarity of
Android (and Google TV) to Sun's vision for the Green OS. For those
needing a history lesson, Green was a Sun project that started in 1990
for developing a new OS (the Green OS) and language (Oak) for smart
appliances.

The big problem I see with SWT is the native parts (DLL, .so, etc), which
means that an SWT app can't be easily deployed, for example, through
WebStart or as an applet (without having to preinstall shared libs). That is
a killer for some range of apps (one of which I'm working on right now). Of

So what happens if you're in a multilingual project? I.e., Scala + JRuby. Do
you use 2 different IDEs?

Could someone that has any other version of Eclipse post the URLs for the

I just installed the Java Update on a Core Duo (32-bit) iMac:
$ ls /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions
1.3@ 1.4@ 1.4.2/ 1.5.0/ 1.6.0/

1.3.1/ 1.4.1@ 1.5@ 1.6@ A/

If you're having problems, check the file:
/Applications/Netbeans/your version of
Netbeans.app/Contents/Resources/NetBeans/etc/netbeans.conf
There's a variable in there called netbeans_jdkhome. If unset, it will grab
whatever your default JDK is.
You might have it set to the 1.6 JDK, set it back

Hi Rob, and all,
First-time group participant, long time podcast listener.
Let's get these in order:
1. One-way navigability from A to B (A --- B) means you can get from class
A to class B. That means that if you have an object of class A, from it you
can get to the associated object of class B
