John, I can definitely replicate your problem using IE7 and JAWS 8 demo.
However, it is not necessarily a JAWS issue, as maybe the sponsored

therefore JAWS is seeing that. If you can, try it with another screen

Hi folks,
I am using Jaws 7 with Xp Pro and Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.

If I arrow up and down, Jaws says closed, closed and closed.

Dave, I can't replicate the problem here on my Windows XP Home laptop.
What version of JAWS is your friend using? I'm using a demo copy of JAWS

programmes beginning with a, so this may be why I can't duplicate it.

In that case it could be your friend's machine as I definitely cannot
duplicate the problem. However, I will remove the shortcuts that begin
with a and see if I can duplicate it then, but if I can't then I can
only conclude that it's the way your friend's machine and JAWS behave.

I have experienced this issue almost all of the time. I have no fix for it
as of yet, but I do find that arrowing around ultimately gets me all of the
menus I wish to find. Strange I agree, I just never figured on mentioning it

Hi David,
Thanks for your suggestion, however, Jaws doesn't read Local Disk C
closed, as is the case with most tree views.
As I said in my message, when I go through the tree view, all I get is the
word closed. Once I press the right arrow to open the particular folder,
all it says is open

Back in February, when the public beta for JFW came out, I downloaded and
