Yes, it does require U3 compatible software that will work on the drive. I
know Jaws won't be able to be run from the thumb drive, but was wondering if
the applications installed on the thumb drive would be able to be read with
Jaws.

I have a U3 smart drive and JAWS will work on it. You have to download the
JAWS for Thumb drives and install it on the drive in the Removable disk
partition. When you insert the drive

You can pretty well bet that if the Thumb Drive is accessible via the
Windows Explorer program and other file utilization programs then JAWS will
be able to let you work with it. The truth is that JAWS is not, in any way,
accessing the Thumb Drive -- or any other drive -- the OS (Windows) and
