Hello
What you are trying to do is beyond my expertise as I have never needed to
do this.
However I believe there is some massive and weighty documentation on Excel
on the Home Page. A lister kindly provided this earlier this year and I saw
David post that this had been put up. . If info is
Yes all of the office documentation is still up there and will remain so.

What I think you want is for the Row and Column titles to stay fixed on
the screen so that no matter how far left or right you scroll this
information is visible (at least for sighted users). If that is what
you want it can be done in Excel, I used to do this when I was sighted,
but I used the
My setting was not checked. I checked it and have visited a few web pages and
have not found that they read any differently.
I think if having this option checked makes the web site work better for screen
reader users, then letting the screen reader user know it would be beneficial.

Until we hear to the contrary, versions of JAWS will continue to work on

I'm in the process of adding several self installing versions for most of
the scripts that are already posted on the page. They are all pretty much up

Hi Erik,
Thanks for the note.
I did go and get the update and am now running JAWS version 8.0.2317U.
I am unfortunately though still having the same problem.
I just came back from lunch and the security screen saver was on, and no

Hi Carrie,
Are you running Jaws pro?
Is it possible that you are actually running in 40 minute mode,
and you are not getting the time-out message?
Just some thoughts,

Hi Richard,
I am in deed running JAWS pro and I don't believe the 40 minute message
is my problem as JAWS works perfectly as long as I continue to work but
I only have the problem if I walk away from my computer for enough time
that the security screen comes up.

While it was making the changes to my system,it also made some kind of

I haven't noticed anything new as of yet.
Just wanted to see if anyone else noticed that clicking

You pretty well have it, I can fix the row and column titles but I also want to

Hi Shannon,
You can try the ones from the Project Assist with the Iowa department for
the blind, thought they are slightly ancient, but still help.
I think JFW had put out a tutorial some time back for the programme as well.
If anyone knows of more up to date version I'd love to hear about it
John, you're right. It's just telling you that changes are being made to
your system. Quite a nice feature that.

Carrie,
I would probably suggest you get rid of the screen saver that is kicking
in when you are not on the computer. I also suggest you then call our
support team with the results if this is not cleared up.
